A description will be posted by
the photos to tell you the dilly~yo, riding where, when, what, why? because
we got the freedom!...And to the next episode of where Streetbikes are going.
I posted their links on this page to show you some of the most bad ass shit
that ever hit the streets! Here
you go-
This
is the cycle page for anyone who likes bikes. These are photo shots of what
this human likes to do. In doing this site- I have posted trippy links that
I have constructed into cyberworld. You are reading this site about the beauty
of motorcycles, you can click on to see where that brain logic for decades channels
too; once you have been resurrected because you have ridden a motorcycle, ATV,
snowmobile, whatever~ its all the same..
.
These
three are at Milford Lake in Kansas.
area is west of Junction City, KS about 7 miles on hwy. 18 then north
on road 206 to Upland. This is me riding a 1990 Honda CR500~ October 1996.
This is a cool hill. This is a wall on the top of this old river
bed. It was a 12 foot 90 degree launch pad. It was thinking physics in my head
(and seeing somebody do it the day before) that took the fear out of it. When
you get enough forward momentum, the traction and velocity will override the
gravity force and send you up the grade. Because the wall at the peak is now
gone, it eliminates the force which prevents the bike from continuing in a forward
motion. Thank God for that! I know that there is a limit to how much you can
just travel straight up, before the forward momentum is too greatly reduced
to allow the bike to "break the coping" of the jump and allow for
a landing...and begin a grave digging!
4 miles south of Waynoka on hwy. 281. It is an awesome park, it has full of
cooperation from the state, people and businesses. Cruising this dune on the
CR500, I was down there on Easter Weekend in April of 1996.You can now even
ride your ATV into the town or ride to "The Oasis"; a gas station,
food, beer, ATV store next to it, what a deal! Follow the simple rules, use
trash cans so people can't bitch at ya, (and I would be one
of them) pay the park and camping fees (or stay at the motels in town)
and enjoy the riding.
The
tricked-out blue 1989 Suzuki Quad LT250 is Roger Chopp, and the bad-ass 1997
Honda CR500 is Corey Strombeck catching a launch off the dune...If anybody throws
that b.s. about being too old for this, these two men are past their mid-30's
doing these stunts! If age is a factor in your life, remember "fresh
minds present fresh lives..."~ never forget that!
That
place is open 24hr./365days. The temperature can get hot in the summer, it can
rain hard on you in the spring, and is full of riders on the big summer holidays,
but there are hundreds of days a year that supply the ideal riding conditions.
But the best riding times we have ever had where in the late fall of the year...
Few traffic, cool days, campfire beer nights with some cool 'buds', virgin sand,
your own desert...
Here
is me back in 1984 riding my converted Honda CR500 ATC... Crazy? Yes.
Good suspension, yes, until I broke the triple clamps and separated the trike.
Get hurt? Not really, wearing a helmet. Where is the bike today?
Sitting 'cannibalized' in my tool room shed...
The
below photo is the same time frame. Allen and Tony Hillhouse in their hot sand
rail sporting a Buick 231 V-6 flowing thru aluminum heads running a VW Bus transmission.
They are "Old School" homies from Lincoln, Nebraska.
I
had to throw this one on the page after searching through my pictures. It is
Tony Hillhouse in the early 1990's max'n big air at his ramp in Lincoln, NE.
Southern
California, #1 Stunna for sure. Being stationed for 3 and a half years in
at the
. I had many rides at some the most coolest places that I have ever been
to in my life. To start here this is me riding my 1985 Honda ATC250R. This place
was kick ass. A common day in the Marine Corps for me during my time was, serve
my job, serve my duty, eat chow at the mess hall after work, go to my barracks,
change and load up then head not even 5 miles out of our front gate, pull over
in the flats, and work the desert. This is what is looked like out there by
the base.
Glamis,
California, they King of it all for sand. Want more? gotta cruise of to Africa,
Australia or the Middle East.
;Glamis lies in the Imperial Sand Dunes that blow across the Colorado river
and down into Mexico. Going there? Most of ya'll probably coming from the east
so drop down to I-10 and enter
Blythe, CA from Arizona there.
Take
the hwy. 78 exit and head southwest towards
Brawley, California. 50 miles from there, 78 drives right thru the north
part of the dunes, party on dude! Open 24/365, best time- late September till
early May. Go in the summer sure, but you will cook during the day, nights are
cool though, but shaded spots for camping are few, not to mention, its all on
sand, bury your rig, your done. Thanksgiving Day is the biggest time of the
year, New Year's is right behind that.

This was a trip, it was desolate that afternoon, even
though it was a Friday afternoon, but then again, it was in August! but what
the hell, I just bought the 3 wheeler and it was the weekend! As I am resting
at my camp site, all of a sudden I heard a deep rumble of a bike that didn't
have a winding 2 stroker motor, all of a sudden I heard it again. It was a
dude from Australia riding a 1990 Yamaha V-MAX with a paddle tire, it was
crazy! I talked to the dude for a few minutes he told me his deal. He said
that back home in Australia he has hit speed of 130 mph on the huge dune bowl
cups out there. I really didn't know what to say. The front fork seals on
his bike where blown out, and the bike was brand new. It made me trip. Then
he said "Happy motor'n" and disappeared over the dunes like Remo
Williams, it was wild! These shots were taken in August of 1989.

One
set of dunes that it doesn't matter what time of year it is and that is
. I am told that it has changed its name to Oceano Dunes, because the state
moved in on it. When I was there it was Pismo Beach, and that's how I know.
The temperature is never hot there, you are right on the Pacific Ocean, you
are hot? go drive right in the Ocean, you camp, ride and party right there..
The above photo I took is looking northwest on the north entry way of the beach.
Check out the site above and get the dilly-yo. This dude to the left was working
the Harley in the sand, I'll just watch that one ...
It
would be very un-American (and being a VFW for the Gulf War with the USMC, I
am definitely not that) if I did not include the Sturgis Bike Rally and the
Black Hills in this webpage. I don't know if you have ever gotten a chance to
see the Rally, but it is a site. that ever rolled across the land make it to
this place. Close to being the geographical center of the North American continent,
it brings people and bikes all across the planet for this spectacle. If you
ever want proof of an
, that brings people from all over the globe together as one; this is the one.
Thanks
for checking this out and "Happy Motor'n"~ you
are visitor
I
can just say go anywhere in eastern central Wyoming and southwestern South Dakota
during the first week on August of any year and you will find the way to the
"mother ship". This event will never die, any weather, any gas price
and with any world crisis going on, ain't nothing ever going to stop it!
Todd
Joyce of Omaha, Nebraska is doing a "smoke out" in a tunnel on hwy.
87 with his 1986 Honda VFR750 (August 1995). Hwy. 87 is also know as the "Needles
Hiway" as it goes through spectacular roads as they twist "pig tail"
turns and bore through single lane tunnels through the massive forms of Granite
rock.

This page is from a Veteran Foreign Wars of the United States
Marine Corps. I just had to state this fact because anybody coming
after this country is fix'n to 'catch some serious damage; The United
States of America is the greatest country to ever dwell upon the planet
Earth. The U.S.A. is the 'conglomerate' of human civilization. There
is no price$ great enough to prevent it from existing...and never will be....
